Treasurer

Dear readers,

My name is Danny and I will be the treasurer and vice president for ESN the Netherlands in the academic year 2012-2013. I am currently 23 and I study International Business at Maastricht University, with a major in Strategy and European Affairs. In Maastricht I was first an active member within the ESN Network and in the second semester of last academic year I was also a local board member, which motivated me to apply for my current position.

Having lived and studied abroad myself, I too have encountered many of the obstacles that many students have when going on their Erasmus, or any other exchange program. Especially when studying in France, a language I myself did not possess I was glad to meet people who had the same problem as I did but more importantly people who were willing to help me find my way. This experience motivated me even more to stay committed to the ESN network.

During my mandate my main goal will be to enable more partnerships with different companies in order to further facilitate and integrate the incoming exchange groups, and maybe even the outgoing (Dutch) students. Next to this I would like, together with the rest of my board, to ensure the professionalism of not only our but the entire network as well as its long term feasibility.
